Dear Esther, I was fascinated by your research, not least because in our study we had a similar question about urban gardeners'motivations and we received very similar results as you did. I didn't see in your motivations diagram a "spending time/socialising with others", but you mention it in your talk - was this part of the "Nice way to spend one's time" (the first set of bars)? I am asking this firstly because from both your and our research, I think motivations in gardeners are so intersectional that it is often difficult to break them down into social/physical/economic etc. - do you agree? And secondly, to ask you to explain if those motivation categories in your diagram were set in the questionnaire, or it was an open question which you then coded and ended up with.
